Agasallo.eu is an on-line platform that compiles, distributes, publicises and recommends gifts in Galician of different types, for all ages, and for all types of events and seasons of the year: books, music, audiovisual items, games, technology, fabrics, experiences, food, etc.

Agasallo.eu aims to showcase and make known among the general public the creations, products and services of all types that are used in Galician; to inform the general public that it is possible to give presents in our language and which are of all kinds and for all ages; to encourage retail outlets to stock a bigger offer of gift products in our language; to promote and support local companies and cultural creations; and, at the end of the day, to encourage people to choose products in Galician for all type of people and age groups.

All the products that are “suitable as gifts” and which are in Galician and as long as any language content they have is in Galician have a place in Agasallo.eu.

The web platform has functionalities such as a search engine for a certain type of product, by price, by age group of the person one is planning to give a present to, etc.; a tool for creating catalogues in pdf; a diary of special days for giving presents, etc.

Campaigns are run in parallel to encourage people to bear the language in mind when choosing a present and to encourage people to give presents in Galician during the times of the year when the giving of presents is common. The publicity campaigns are run via the social networks and digital mass media as well as via the language normalisation services of municipal councils and language normalisation teams in schools.
