Following the successful experience of the first Ideoling conference held in October 2024 at Universitat de les Illes Balears, the Second International Symposium on Language Ideologies and Attitudes (IDEOLING2) will be held at Universitat de Lleida (UdL) from October 7ᵗʰ to 9ᵗʰ, 2026.

The conference aims at fostering knowledge in the complementary fields of sociolinguistics, applied and educational linguistics, and pedagogy, by focusing on ideologies of language in all their manifestations, with a clear intention to shed light on both the dynamics of minority and minoritised languages and the roles of lingua francas (and especially English) in multilingual contexts.
