Aprenem is a programme to learn languages based on language exchange. In the Aprenem workshops we learn the language we want to learn and teach the one we know. We aim to encourage the social use of Catalan while learning other languages; what is more, by learning and teaching in the Aprenem workshops we are reinforcing social cohesion and integration.
Aprenem uses an innovative methodology based on the learning of languages through reading and speaking, leaving grammar on one side.
The Aprenem workshops are open to everyone, free of charge, without any placement tests and adapted to various levels of language knowledge.
The main aim of the programme is to speed up language learning, oral and written comprehension and oral expression, while at the same time social participation and cohesion are encouraged.
The Aprenem workshops operate with a budget of 0 euros, we work on the basis of language exchange, and the premises where we hold the Aprenem workshops are public and provided by town councils: civic centres, libraries, schools, etc. and they have a good selection of free, blog-based materials for learning languages.
Aprenem has no political or religious affiliation.
