The conference aims at covering all aspects of contact linguistics, geolinguistics, language perception, language planning and revitalization of minority languages. Scholars working on language variation and change in European minority languages and varieties are invited to submit their proposals on the following topic areas:

• Documenting / describing minority languages using different sources: texts, grammars, dictionaries, atlases, language corpora, and new technologies;

• The safeguarding of minority languages: language planning, learning, and teaching, juridical aspects;

• Mountain linguistics with a particular focus on Alps as a linguistic and cultural area;

• Geolinguistics and new methodological and conceptual approaches;

• Contact linguistics, sociolinguistic typology, linguistic and cultural landscape;

• Interdisciplinary approaches (language history, onomastics, ethnography, cartography).

Conference languages

Presentations may be held in English, French, German or Italian. Slides and/or handouts should be in English.
